the start....

My first camera was homemade. Out of lego!!! I can still remember making my own camera, so I could go out (in my single piece waterproof outfit) with my dad who had his "grown-up" SLR and take photos. He took this photo of my and then developed and printed it himself. Brilliant!

So my very first real camera was the Vivitar 35mm film camera you can see below. I really don't have any of my output from that period, but I can vividly remember being frustrated by the lack of flexibility and not really knowing what would be in focus and what wouldn't. I'd like to think it was the hardware holding me back, but in reality it was probably all camera shake... I probably should've stuck to lego!
